Dreams

This is where some dreams will get unfurled in about two years. Out of these bricks and iron will arise that home that has already been built elsewhere. Here it will manifest into a dream-come-true. 8 floors of human engineering, one little home in it that's meant to be. Posted by Picasa

The flags were out

.. in full force, this independence day. Many such sellers were seen selling flags on the major roads in Bangalore. Posted by Picasa

Reliving Memories

A small reunion lunch at the first building we worked in. Five of us relived moments strung on honeydew strings. Posted by Picasa

BTM (Jayadeva Circle) Flyover

After almost three years of legal battles, etc. the flyover on Jayadeva Circle is getting inaugurated today. The roofed-structure you see is today the venue for the CM's inaugural address. Will try and post pictures after the flyover is opened up. Posted by Picasa

Sepia Tones

Was sleepless, so tried experimenting with the phone's sepia effect.

Hands for support.

Like Sizzlers?!

The Juke Box is a small restaurant that we frequent in Koramangala. Great value for money. Good ambience - a little noisy though. Ask for the sausages. They are not on the menu and the greasy taste is saliva-inspiring. Posted by Picasa

Truck'ed

If you are stuck in traffic along the JP Nagar Int. Ring Road, these trucks are to blame. I wonder why they don't restrict truck movement during peak hours. There were atleast ten trucks at this traffic signal this morning. Posted by Picasa

Sameer's Run-In

Sameer had to run-in his bro's Avenger and we went on a short ride (175-sh kms) to Sangam, half-way to Beemeshwari and back.

We took this dirt track from Sangam to Beemeshwari. Exhilirating route. Sadly, we were turned back mid-way because of reported elephant herd attacks.

That's Sangam - Rivers Arkavathi and Cauvery meet here.

Taste7Tea - Blended Teas

From a Singaporean chain, Taste7Tea in The Pavilion, Church Street. They serve up teas blended with fruit flavours and something called pearls (wheat?? balls). The Green Apple "Green Tea" that I tasted was pretty good. You can get the blends in Green Tea, Milk Tea, etc. Posted by Picasa

Elevated Highway

Bangalore's getting a 2-tier (one elevated, one at ground-level) road on Hosur Road. Lotsa traffic from El City and Tamil Nadu use this road. Will this project help bring down the traffic snarls? We'll wait and see . Posted by Picasa

w800i: New on the shelf

I finished the first six volumes of the Dark Tower series sometime back. Took me way too long to get the last part of the saga. No hardcover in stock though :(

Three men in a bummel.. Hope it is as good as 3 men in a boat.

Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner has been highly recommended by a lot of people.

Meera Syal's book should be as funny as her acting is.

Haruki Murakami's books again have been highly recommended to me. I started this book yesterday and am half through. Pretty interesting book, I should say. Posted by Picasa

w800i: BMTC's B7R

One of the Air-conditioned volvo buses running on suburban routes. Route Number 2. These buses are a huge success in B'Lore. Here's hoping that BMTC takes this further. FYI, Chennai tried a/c coaches years ago but it was subsequently scrapped. Posted by Picasa
