Ghost who flies
The new Pulsar 180 is here. I got a taste of it this morning (thanks to Venkat of AutoService).
The LED tail-lights are a beautiful addition. Add to it the beefed up rear end and you get a really powerful look.
The new look pilot lamps led to it's being called the Phantom.
Sadly the edge-of-the-seat look of the rear part has not been carried onto the tank. That leaves the bike look a little less sporty than it could've been. The fuel tank feels puny in the overall scheme of things. A sharper profile for the fuel tank would have made it a killer.
Other features that I forgot to photograph (dumb me!!)
1. Digital Console - Speedometer, Tripmeter, Odometer, Fuel Gauge. The console looks beautiful and has a orangy glow for the backlight.
2. Contactless backlit switchgear - better life. Self-cancelling turn indicators - like in cars.
3. A whole lot of electronic wizardry to keep it safe from us. :) For ex.
- 3 non-starts on the electronic ignition and the bike disallows further attempts for 20 secs.
- Switch off engine with lights on and restart. The lights don't come on until you use the light switches again. Ensures better lamp life and keeps the electricals safer.
- The console indicators are brighter when the headlamp/pilot lamp are not switched on. Better visibility in daylight.
Home Away From Home

Saw these two families of train travellers, that was travelling with almost their whole home - kitchen included. Yes, I saw them cook their dinner right there. Mosquito Coils were on show too. The amount of luggage they were carrying shocked me!!
Coffee?
Visit -->Here<-- for more.

Pictures from "Coffee?", a nice little coffee shop off Greenways Road.

Alongside good coffee are served photographs by Sharad Haksar - a sale towards charity.
I tried the Turkish coffee, which has a whiff of cardamom and some other spices. Overall a dainty, quite place to relax your blues away.
Motion Blur
Pandhikari, Coffee and Peace

Went biking to Madikeri. Around 650kms in all. Stayed at this nice place in a place called Cherumbane.
4WDed a jeep up a really steep, slushy track. In the end it took an additional 5MP (man-power) to get it up the incline.
Oh! We also a ditched a jeep. :)

Chayakada

My stock of tea at work!! Yep, Earl Grey is my favourite. I don't have a good evening tea yet. Probably some ceylon chaai is called for.

Dreams

This is where some dreams will get unfurled in about two years. Out of these bricks and iron will arise that home that has already been built elsewhere. Here it will manifest into a dream-come-true. 8 floors of human engineering, one little home in it that's meant to be.
The flags were out

.. in full force, this independence day. Many such sellers were seen selling flags on the major roads in Bangalore.
Reliving Memories

A small reunion lunch at the first building we worked in. Five of us relived moments strung on honeydew strings.
BTM (Jayadeva Circle) Flyover

After almost three years of legal battles, etc. the flyover on Jayadeva Circle is getting inaugurated today. The roofed-structure you see is today the venue for the CM's inaugural address. Will try and post pictures after the flyover is opened up.
Sepia Tones
Was sleepless, so tried experimenting with the phone's sepia effect.
Hands for support.
Reaching Out into the dark

Wilful cruelty!
Rain Frost
Like Sizzlers?!
The Juke Box is a small restaurant that we frequent in Koramangala. Great value for money. Good ambience - a little noisy though. Ask for the sausages. They are not on the menu and the greasy taste is saliva-inspiring.
Truck'ed

If you are stuck in traffic along the JP Nagar Int. Ring Road, these trucks are to blame. I wonder why they don't restrict truck movement during peak hours. There were atleast ten trucks at this traffic signal this morning.
Sameer's Run-In
Sameer had to run-in his bro's Avenger and we went on a short ride (175-sh kms) to Sangam, half-way to Beemeshwari and back.

We took this dirt track from Sangam to Beemeshwari. Exhilirating route. Sadly, we were turned back mid-way because of reported elephant herd attacks.
That's Sangam - Rivers Arkavathi and Cauvery meet here.

Taste7Tea - Blended Teas

From a Singaporean chain, Taste7Tea in The Pavilion, Church Street. They serve up teas blended with fruit flavours and something called pearls (wheat?? balls). The Green Apple "Green Tea" that I tasted was pretty good. You can get the blends in Green Tea, Milk Tea, etc.
Rains

Yesterday, it rained through the day in B'Lore. A lovely smooth, flowing rain. Not the harsh kind. Wonderful weather!
Elevated Highway

Bangalore's getting a 2-tier (one elevated, one at ground-level) road on Hosur Road. Lotsa traffic from El City and Tamil Nadu use this road. Will this project help bring down the traffic snarls? We'll wait and see .
Unbelievable but true

I performed on stage @ work. "Danced", though not sure what people might call it. That's the dress for the RdB bhangra song.
